Hi Janice,

I'm glad you liked the article and found it helpful for getting your internet marketing working.

As for websites, the company I work for makes real estate websites. If you give us a call maybe we can help. ;)

This has really broken down the internet marketing barrier for me. You have definetly given the pros and cons of each of the tactics.
Now I can make a better decision on getting a website started.

Do you know of any websites that host real estate websites that syndicate them like point2agent.com but have a better template selection.

Thanks for stopping by Mark!

I'm definitely more of a Flagship/Fleet person myself, especially when it comes to marketing real estate listings on the internet. The MLS listings are a commodity and there's little to be gained by keeping them hidden in most situations.

The key to proper execution of the Flagship/Fleet is precisely as you say: have a hub to direct people towards. Any of us could go out and willy-nilly make social network profiles etc. But if we aren't consistent about pointing people to our Flagship then the effort can get scattered.

great post gahlord. interesting, the two camps of marketing you show - quantitative (keyword) vs qualitative (people).

being more on the qualitative side i dig your Flagship/Fleet analogy. With the flagship as the hub of your marketing, everything else becomes breadcrumbs leading to it.

too often, marketing efforts are disconnected and lead nowhere, left to stand on their own. the beauty of the hub approach is the momentum generated as folks move closer and closer in towards the center.

plus, when you have a hub, marketing becomes a lot easier... "my call to action? go to my hub!"

Thanks for stopping by Tommi. So Infotube.net looks to be pretty focused on the FSBO lister. Is there a buyer/searcher-facing version of the site?

Am I right in saying that your site is sort of like a FSBO MLS for people who do the Infotube thing or can anyone submit? I haven't really noticed the site before.

Here's a snapshot of how Compete views Infotube in relation to Realtor.com and Trulia.com:
http://siteanalytics.compete.com/infotube.net+trulia.com+realtor.com/?metric=uv

I'd love to learn more about how your web product is marketed for home buyers and real estate searchers.

Infotube.net, owned by the company that manufactures InfoTube and InfoBox outdoor brochure holders for Lowes, Home Depot, etc. has a free real estate listing website.

In addition to a free home listing with photo, users can access free legal forms, marketing tips and assistance. The company also offers flat fee MLS listings for owners and builders.

Real Estate Professionals are also encouraged to post listings on the site and RSS feeds for listing data is available.
