Condon Realty needed a website that was professionally branded and easier to use. One important feature their previous site didn’t have was the ability to enhance their own listings and use that information throughout their site. Using the Union Street Media real estate content management system allows Condon Realty to edit and add additional pages of content and photos. They can also create recommended searches to help drive site visitors to listings.

Harsch Associates Redesign

Harsch Associates has been a Union Street Media client for some time and decided it was time to upgrade their design. The redesign process helped clean up their old site design and make it easier for site visitors to use and search listings. The Harsch Associates team now has a clean and modern quick search tool with options to search by map. The site also boasts a large slideshow that is reflective of their market. At the bottom of their site is a recommended search tool that allows them to build searches for site visitors and help them navigate through the numerous MLS listings.

A Cape House

A Cape House is located in Bourne, Cape Cod, MA. This team of seven specializes in homes and rentals on the Upper Cape. They wanted a website that took advantage of the latest real estate technology, giving them full control over content, MLS listings and more. The site integrates both the CC&IMLS and MLSPIN seamlessly, allowing site visitors to search a larger number of listings. The new site also has a Non-MLS listings management tool that allows the A Cape House team to promote vacation rentals all from one login.

Feature Friday: New Real Estate System Updates!

We know how important it is that your real estate website represents you professionally, so this week, we’re happy to announce updates to several features.

Non-MLS Listing Updates:

  • Photo Uploading just got easier. You will now be able to upload multiple image files at once, change their sort order by clicking and dragging thumbnails and also delete any photos you don’t need or want any longer. These changes will now happen automatically, instead of having to wait for the server to update, and in addition, you can now delete Non-MLS listings.
  • Google Mapping can sometimes be a challenge, so now, when you enter a property address, it will auto locate the listing and display a Google map. If for any reason the location is not correct, you can now drag and drop the location marker to correct it.
  • When managing a lot of Non-MLS listings at once, quickly identifying them can be a challenge. We’ve created a Listing ID field that will allow you to create your own Listing IDs. This new Listing ID will override the X123456 numbering system that generates automatically and will display on your website so when customers call up, you’ll know exactly which property they are interested in.
  • We’ve also updated the Craigslist template to note a listing’s availability dates and if pets are allowed.
  • Banners will now display when listings are pending or a price change has occurred, letting site visitors know the listing has been updated.

For those of you who regularly use our Non-MLS functionality, we hope these updates will simplify entering and editing listings! If you have any questions, please call or email your Account Manager.

New Listing Print Templates:

Site visitors will now have a clean and professional print out of listings from your website. The new template is more organized, showcasing important MLS and Office information. To make sure your clients can find each listing with ease, we’ve added a QR code on every listing print template. A QR code will make it easier for home buyers to access additional information on your website without having to type out your URL or search for the property from your homepage. Keeping the template uncluttered and organized lets site visitors save ink by having to print fewer pages, and being able to opt out of printing additional photos if they choose.

Both the update to our print templates and additions to our Non-MLS system are signs of things to come from Union Street Media – in 2012, our priorities are to make sure that your users can find you easily (regardless of how they search), that they are immediately engaged with your site, and that it’s simple and compelling for them to convert into leads.  Additions to your listing tools are just the tip of the iceberg – look forward to more updates throughout the summer!

By working with Union Street Media to build a website for their new firm, they looked forward to establishing an optimized recruiting tool with the ability for them to edit it and control it as they please. The site features a blog, which allows them to keep their website fresh with content, home page video which allows them to highlight attractions and events in their service area that they participate in and an interactive map search which enables users to visually identify where they would like to search for real estate. On a rushed timeline, Union Street Media was able to launch Re/Max On The Move’s website in 25 days!

Embarking on building the new LWRE.com, we had several goals. First, Tom at Linwood needed to have an easy to use search tool for his customers. With that in place, we also had the task of communicating the fact that Coldwell Banker Linwood is one company comprising three distinct offices. The goal being that a user would be able to seamlessly get in touch with the right office or agent depending on the area of their property search. Finally, the third goal was to be able to easily display and edit ski season rentals in the back-end system. Now they have the opportunity to showcase how active they are in the rental market while also being able to easily navigate through their listings.

Art Urie, owner of Lake Farm Realty in Concord, New Hampshire, has been a loyal Union Street Media client since we launched his original site in July 2005. When it launched, the Lake Farm site gave Art a great platform for showcasing his listings and offered his clients a sophisticated but easy-to-use tool for property searches.  Union Street Media’s content management system also offered Art an easy, efficient way to maintain contact with potential clients throughout their property searches and home buying experiences.

Six years post-launch, Art’s site was still providing him with a professional web presence, but was becoming outdated in a landscape of ever-evolving web trends. Additionally, Art recognized the need for his site to serve not only as a customer service tool but also as a lead generator.

Through a Design Refresh, we were able to upgrade the sites conversion and search tools, property detail views, and overall functionality. Our Design Team made sure to incorporate some of the imagery and essence of Art’s old site into the new one to maintain Lake Farm Realty’s consistent vision and identity.

By choosing to combine his Refresh with a Dedicated Internet Marketing package post-launch, Art will see data driven, ongoing optimization to maximize the impact of the new design. Our Internet Marketing team will be focusing on expanding the reach of the site to pull in new visitors who can take advantage of the improved forms, tools, and ultimately the professional, personal service Lake Farm Realty offers.

Lake Farm Realty (version 2.0) is a great example of a site that’s been updated to reflect changes in technology and design without losing sight of the company’s overall goals and personality.

This November: thanks for seven new website launches

As cheesy as it sounds, there’s nothing we’re more thankful for than the wonderful clients we get to work with every day.  We’re especially excited and thankful that we have so many new clients this year who have new sites that will drive business in their direction.  While in the future, you can expect to see our launches divided into Real Estate and Interactive, today, we wanted to highlight all of November’s launches.

O’Brien Brothers Agency

O’Brien Brothers Agency is a Burlington, VT based real estate development and management company.  Working seamlessly together, USM and O’Brien Brothers Agency created a new site that clearly guides users to all sides of the business.  The resulting website not only features top of the line design, it’s also easy for Josie at O’Brien to manage.  See her note to USM about how the process worked for her.

Dave Chenette has long been active in Burlington, VT real estate.  Over his 25+ years in the business, he has built a loyal network of clients (and friends) who come back to him again and again when they are buying or selling property.  Working with Dave to build a Premium site, USM focused on the testimony of these clients through quotes and video while orienting the site for new business as well as to improve the web experience for the people Dave has worked with all along.

The Doris G Quinn Foundation came to Union Street Media because they knew we were capable of making website development accessible to anyone.  In crafting the design and content of the new site, USM did something new – we worked offline, sending letters and exchanging phone calls with the Foundation’s team.  We’re proud to add this site t our portfolio and are glad we could offer the process that the Doris Quinn Foundation needed.
